Best Student Oral Paper at the IBC

Aim:	To encourage the participation of students in the oral programme at the IBC, and improve the quality of scientific communication
Prize:	Certificate, IBS dues for the next calendar year, books
Eligible:	Any oral paper presented by a student at the conference (the student should be a member of the IBS)
Application:	At the point of submission of the abstract (with certification of student status – as usually required for registration)
Timetable:	Application at abstract submission; Judging during oral sessions at the IBC; Presentation at the closing session of the IBC
Selection:	By selection through a small ad-hoc committee drawn from the organizing committees.  Judgment to be based on scientific content and the good quality of the oral and visual presentation.

Best Poster Presentation at the IBC

Aim:	To promote the use of poster presentations and encourage the participation of all delegates in the poster sessions
Prize:	Certificate, IBS dues paid for the next calendar year, books
Eligible:	Any contributed paper accepted for presentation during a poster session (the author should be an IBS member)
Application:	None – all contributed papers accepted for presentation during poster sessions will automatically be considered
Timetable:	Application automatic; Judging during poster sessions at the UBC; Presentation at the closing session of the IBC
Selection:	By selection through a small ad-hoc committee drawn from the organizing committees.  Judgment to be based on scientific content and the good use of the poster format.
